The law firm of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. has its roots in the religious school of The Bergenfield-Dumont Jewish Center where Sam Davis, Garry R. Salomon and Marc Saperstein became childhood friends. Although the three friends went their separate ways after high school, Marc Saperstein and Sam Davis joined forces in 1981 to form Davis & Saperstein. Six years later, Garry Salomon joined the firm as a partner to form Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., originally located on River Street in Hackensack. The new firm quickly gained a reputation for handling challenging personal injury cases and quickly out grew its Hackensack facilities. In 1995, the firm moved its headquarters to 375 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, New Jersey. In 1996, the firm joined forces with 28 other plaintiff law firms around the United States to file class action lawsuits against the tobacco industry. These courageous lawyers were part of the Castano Group which was substantially responsible for the National Tobacco Settlement. In 1997, the firm took a lead position in Fen-Phen diet drug litigation in both New Jersey and New York, and represented individual plaintiffs and class action plaintiffs against the drug maker. Subsequently, the firm was appointed to lead positions in Propulsid, Baycol, and Vioxx litigation. In 1996, the firm expanded to represent plaintiffs in employment disputes. Since the firm's entry into the Employment Law field, the firm has had several winning decisions published by the New Jersey Supreme Court. The stature of the firm grew over the next 8 years as its partners assumed prominent positions within the legal community. In 2004, the firm added Steven Benvenisti and Paul Garfield as new partners. Through the years, the firm has always demonstrated its gratitude and commitment to the local community by actively participating in charities and charitable events. Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. is also proud to serve as the official advisors of the Teaneck High School Mock Trial Team. |
