In 2009, there were 257,801 automobile accidents within the state of New Jersey of which   64,348 accidents involved injuries.  Tragically, according to the   United States Department of Transportation, 533 people died on New Jersey roads in 2009 because of car crashes. Statistically, a person has a one out of four chance of being involved in a car crash during his or her lifetime.

All too often people injured in car accidents are unsure about their rights.  Common questions include:  What are my rights under No-Fault Insurance?  Where do I go for medical treatment?  Can I sue for my harms and losses? And, how do I find a qualified personal injury lawyer to handle my case?

Automobile accidents unnecessarily complicate the lives     of those involved.  Until now, there was no one source of information for New Jersey accident victims and their families.

Accident victims are surprised to receive direct solicitations in the mail from lawyers who purchase police reports claiming expertise in representing the injured.  However, consumers need to know that reputable law firms chose not to engage in this controversial practice.

For that reason, I wrote the Consumer’s Guide to New Jersey Personal Injury Claims. This guide was written to help people protect themselves from insurance company abuse.  More importantly, the book helps the consumer ask the right questions when hiring a personal injury law firm.
